Newspapers Highlight Energy Exemption Use

DOA Projects $1.5 Billion in New Revenue

The Department of Administration (DOA) today projected the state will take in $1.5 billion in additional general purpose revenue over the 2013-15 biennium.  DOA also projected that the state will close out the current biennium on June 30, 2013 with a gross balance of $348.1 million.  SAA will keep members updated on new developments regarding available state revenues.  To access the projections, please see here.

State Assessment Update

The SAA has long sought to replace the current WKCE with a more relevant, timely and useful state assessment system.  The future of assessment in Wisconsin will largely be decided through the 2013-15 State Budget process.

The following webinar was developed by the SAA Project Team on State Assessment.  It provides background on the SAA’s testing recommendations and an update on assessment issues.

LFB Releases 2012-13 School Aid Memo

According to a Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB) memo released last Friday, $4.2937 billion is appropriated from the general fund for general school aids in 2012-13. This memo also includes district-by-district numbers.
