Check out the news story written by Scott Bauer of the Associated Press on the Legislative Fiscal Bureau analysis of the state’s spending on private school vouchers. It appears that Jim Bender of School Choice Wisconsin neglected to read the SAA’s evidence-based policy agenda.

State to Spend $258 Million on Vouchers in 2016-17

The state of Wisconsin will spend $258 million on private school vouchers in the 2016-17 school year according to a new analysis by the Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB). Check out Molly Beck’s news article on the LFB Memo in the Wisconsin State Journal.

WERC Issues New Recertification Election Rules

Wisconsin ACT Results Hold Steady

According to the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), Wisconsin’s 2015 graduates had steady overall results on the ACT with an average composite score of 22.2, which tied with Iowa for second place behind Minnesota (22.7) among states where 50 percent or more of students take the assessment.

DPI Provides Update on Budget Implementation
