DeVos Tells States Not to Expect Waivers from Annual Tests

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has informed states that they should not count on getting the same waivers from federal testing mandates for this school year that they got last spring as the pandemic shut down schools. DPI: Over 31 Million Meals Served to Students During Pandemic

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) today announced over 31 million nutritious meals have been served to Wisconsin students at sites throughout the state since March 2020 according to claims filed to the agency.

Wauwatosa School District Estimates Spending $4-$5 Million on COVID-Related Costs

Deb Kerr Joins Race for State Superintendent

Former Brown Deer Superintendent Deborah Kerr has joined three other educators – Pecatonica Superintendent Jill Underly, Assistant State Superintendent Sheila Briggs, and former West Salem Superintendent Troy Gunderson – vying to be Wisconsin’s next State Superintendent. We anticipate that Kerr will make a formal announcement on September 13th.
