Bill Requiring In-Person Option Clears Committee
By John Forester | January 22, 2021
Senate Bill 6, which would require each school district to offer an in-person option and require a two-thirds school board vote for the district to move to virtual instruction, was recommended for passage on a 3-2 party-line vote by the Senate Committee on Human Services, Children and Families yesterday following the Committee’s public hearing on the bill. The SAA has registered its opposition to the bill and will keep the membership informed of additional developments on the legislation.
