SWIB Posts Letter in Response to Audit, Hearing

By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | January 31, 2017

As you may know, the Legislative Audit Bureau completed its management audit of the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) at the end of December. Last week, SWIB Executive Director Michael Williamson and Board of Trustees Chairman David Stein testified at a public hearing before the Joint Legislative Audit Committee. Since the release of the audit and the hearing, some WRS members have asked for SWIB’s response to the audit report and to some opinions that may be floating around. In response to those questions, Michael Williamson has written an open letter to WRS members. You can find the letter on SWIB’s website by following this link.

SWIB has posted the letter in the hopes that it will answer the questions that WRS members may have about the audit report.
