The following superintendents have sent letters to their districts’ legislators “telling their story” about how they are serving their students during the COVID-19 crisis: Brandon Robinson (Unity), Steve Lutzke (Parkview), Randy Nelson (La Crosse), Sue Savaglio-Jarvis (Kenosha).
The SAA encourages other districts to tell their story to their legislators as well. Forward those letters to the SAA and we will keep posting them.

Court Declares Emergency Order 28 Unlawful; Allows School Closure Order to Stand

Several law firms that we work with either have released, or will soon release, legal updates focusing on the Wisconsin Supreme Court’s decision yesterday to declare Emergency Order 28 unlawful, yet allow the school closure order to stand. We will provide links below to each firm’s update as it becomes available.
The SAA regularly receives these legal updates and we believe this is valuable information for SAA members. We are distributing these updates to SAA members with the permission of the respective law firms. The information in these updates is no substitute for consulting with your district legal counsel, and we encourage you to do so.
