Ellis, Olsen Propose More Money for Schools
By Wisconsin School Administrators Alliance staff | March 5, 2013
Senate President Michael Ellis (R-Neenah) and Senator Luther Olsen (R-Ripon), Chairman of the Senate Education Committee and Vice-Chair of the powerful Joint Finance Committee, have proposed an alternative school funding plan that will provide Wisconsin public schools with $382 million more under the revenue cap than Governor Walker’s revenue cap freeze proposal.
The SAA believes the proposal by these two powerful senators is a huge step in the right direction. You might recall that the SAA supports a $200 per pupil increase on the revenue cap in both years of the biennium.
