The Wheeler Report:
Department of Public Instruction Superintendent Tony Evers announced the education reform plan for Wisconsin. The agenda includes:
- Increase WI high school graduation rate from 85.7% to 92%
- Increase career and college readiness from 32% to 67%
- Close graduation and career and college readiness gaps by 50%
- Increase the percentage of students scoring proficient in 3rd grade reading and 8thgrade math
- Fair Funding for Our Future plan, school finance funding proposal
Ever said he will focus on standards and instruction, assessments and data systems, school and educator effectiveness, and school finance reform.
